The charge of this committee was to Investigate AAPM providing the financial support allocated for the MedPhys Match to a Limited Liability Company (LLC), and subsequently withdrawing direct endorsement. Questions that should be addressed by the Ad Hoc include:
The AHMPMP recommends that oversight of the MedPhys Match remain under AAPM control for several reasons listed below:

- Risk and benefit assessment of MedPhys Match being endorsed and sponsored by AAPM.
- Investigate methods through which an LLC could satisfy endorsement requirements established by National Matching Service Inc.
- Establish necessary steps, including determination of the financial cost, in establishing an LLC to endorse and oversee MedPhys Match.
The AHMPMP recommends that oversight of the MedPhys Match remain under AAPM control for several reasons listed below:
- The committee feels that AAPM endorsement of MedPhys Match is important to encourage continued participation of applicants and programs. AAPM sponsorship provides credibility and legitimacy to the Match process. Without the widespread participation of the medical physics community, the viability of the MedPhys Match could quickly decline.
- The primary risk to AAPM appears to be mitigated through the insurance coverage now in place.
- Initial organization and continued maintenance of a separate entity would be timeconsuming and difficult with minimal benefit.
